Lev and Maxim live in Moscow with their adopted sons, Lyosha and Savva. They try to keep their homosexuality hidden from the public as much as possible. When Lyosha accidentally makes a remark at school, it has serious consequences: the authorities separate Savva from the family, and the other three flee to Germany. There, they fight for months to be reunited – and to save their relationship, as the constant threats, fears and hurt have left their marks.
